Red Ribbon Week
Students and staff can now register with SchoolMed and be seen by a telehealth provider at the nurse's station at school. SchoolMed/Goodside Health will file with your insurance and will send prescriptions to your local pharmacy if needed. You can go ahead and register your student, so they have a profile ready to go if needed throughout the 2022-2023 school year.
Spinal screenings will be conducted by our school nurses, Sarah Maiden and Lynda Zak. 5th and 7th grade girls and 8th grade boys will be screened.
Students in 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th will be screened for Acanthosis. Acanthosis Nigricans is a skin marker that is considered a risk factor for type 2 diabetes. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school nurse at 361-286-3212.
The Jr. High Lady Redfish remain undefeated beating Pettus 8th grade.

Reminder: Tomorrow, Tuesday October 18th, we will be holding a vaccine clinic here on campus in the Administration Building from 10am - 2pm. The clinic is open to students, staff & the community. Flu season has started so now is a great time to get your flu shot!
The FFA Livestock Judging Team competed at the Calhoun County Livestock Judging Contest this past Friday. The team placed 10th place overall in the Senior Division.

The sixth graders were having a blast during Math today learning all about integers! Each group played a game with a partner (spin the paper clip and work out the problem), You be the teacher and find the errors and address the misconception, and they also did a math zombie integer scavenger hunt!
